well, it's official. i'm going on the world race....as of 3 weeks-ish ago i said yes (not to the dress)!
www.adventures.org explains it all.
in my words........
it's the ultimate adventure.
i'm leaving in july to go on an 11 month mission trip to 12 different countries.
say whaaaat?
you betchya.
:)
by the end of this adventure i will be able to add these important skills to my resume:
professional backpacker, camper, builder, vbs-er, friendliest white person in a foreign country, the whitest girl in any foreign country....this is not just referring to my skin tone (i've got some mad dancing skills my friends).......and whatever else i discover on this adventure.
where am i going you ask?
well, let me inform you::
india
nepal
thailand
asia challenge--shhh, it's a secret
cambodia (happy birthday to me!)
vietnam (merry Christmas my friends!)
rwanda
uganda
kenya
latvia
estonia/lithuania
hollaaaaaaaa!!
and the best part about this wonderful world traveling experience is that i get to share Jesus with everyone! i was telling myself a couple of months ago that if i was going to travel, that i would want to do it to share the gospel....that's the best reason to get to travel...right?
if you read this blog.....2 things...yay! and if you have any questions.....ask! and you shall receive an answer......hopefully within a reasonable time.
have i told you how much i hate blogging? well let me tell ya..........yuck.
but i better like it if i'm going to share experiences from the world race. i have my own world race blog. i should probably get started on that one and keep practicing for when the adventure really begins.

a fresh start.
happy july 2nd all my friends!
it is currently 83 degrees on this beautiful saturday morning. and reaching a high of 95! happy utah weather friends! love it!
i thought i would start another blog. one for all my adventures, and to kick my travel fix. i am getting antsy and ready to go somewhere, but also really enjoying the days i have off to relax and regroup. i don't work that much, but the days that i do, really kick my butt. and i love the days i work. i nanny for my sweet friend, currently, 2 days a week. and i work at gourmandise the bakery 2 days a week (if you have never been there, you are missing out on delicious food). so that leaves, mondays and wednesdays to myself to hang out and adventure.
so.....adventures, begin!
currently, i want to travel all over. but i want to finish school too. so i am looking into the study abroad program at the u and utah state. i want to see if i could get my bachelor's done over in africa, asia or europe. that would be pretty awesome!
and i'm looking into local fun races to keep the active part of me alive in this heat.
i hate summer because i melt. literally, melt.
there is the metro dash on july 30 that looks crazy insane and intense. 30 obstacles over the distance of a football field. i did the warrior dash back in april, and i had such a blast that i decided i would do fun races if i was going to continue running.
and i guess that's all i want to say for now. i'm not much of a blogger...i just feel like i end up rambling. oh well. i wanted something new to start on.
